Secretary of State in charge of communication Azzedine Mihoubi to Echorouk: “We seek to create an Algerian sport TV channel before World Cup 2010â€
Algeria’s Secretary of State in charge of communication, Azzedine Mihoubi said the project of establishing an Algerian sport TV channel is in process of study, noting that the government seeks to accomplish this project as soon as possible.

Mihoubi told Echorouk; “The Ministry of Communication seek to accomplish this project before the beginning of the World Cup summer 2010 in South Africa. The project exists but we have to prepare the ground and equipment for successful project, including technical and human resources, as we hope we could achieve it as soon as possible or before the beginning of the World Cup 2010, in order to realize a good coverage of the world event, particularly since our team has realized the dream and will be present in South Africa”.

The same spokesman explained in the press conference, held Saturday that the Ministry of Communication will examine how to facilitate the procedures for the Algerian press in order to provide a better coverage of the African Nations Cup which will start during the month of January 2010.

Mihoubi thanked the Algerian press for the comprehensive coverage and support for the Algerian national team in the battles of Cairo and Umm Durman, pointing out that the Algerian journalists have done their duty with a high level of professionalism, thing which contributed in increasing the number of sellers for some weak newspapers.
